New Chapters Fostercare is thrilled to announce an exciting job opportunity within our organisation. We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced professional to cover maternity leave for our Registered Manager. This role is not only a temporary position but also a pathway to a permanent leadership opportunity within our team.

Position Overview:

The successful candidate will step into the role of Registered Manager for a period of twelve months, during which they will oversee the day-to-day operations of our fostering services. This includes ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, managing staff, and providing support to foster families and the children in their care. Upon the Registered Manager’s return, the individual filling this maternity leave role will transition into the position of Responsible Individual, taking on a critical leadership role within our organisation.

Who We Are Looking For:

This is an excellent opportunity for professionals in the fostering sector who meet the following essential criteria:

1. Qualified Social Workers, candidates must hold a recognised social work qualification and be registered with the appropriate regulatory body.
2. Substantial Management Experience, we are looking for individuals with a proven track record in management, particularly within the social care or fostering sectors.
3. Experience in leading teams, managing budgets, and implementing policies and procedures is essential.
4. Trauma-Informed Approach, the ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong understanding of trauma-informed care principles and practices. They should be able to effectively support children in foster care, recognising the unique challenges they face and promoting their emotional and psychological well-being.
5. Experience in safeguarding.
